Help and support
Something not working?
Write to us and a person reads it. Include your registration number and, if a report failed, the patient's initials and roughly what time you tried — that is usually enough to find it in the logs on the first pass.
Getting started
Account, verification and first report.
Who can open an account?
Doctors registered with the National Medical Commission or with a State Medical Council. Dental, AYUSH and clinical establishment registrations do not qualify.
At sign-up you give your registration number, the issuing council, your qualification and the year of registration, and upload your registration certificate. Those details are printed on every report you issue, which is what the NMC Professional Conduct Regulations 2023 require of documents given to patients.
How long does verification take?
Most certificates are read and matched automatically within a few minutes. If the scan is unclear, or the name on the certificate does not match the name on your account, it goes to manual review and we usually clear it within one working day.
You will be told which of the two happened. If a review is taking longer than a day, email support with your registration number.
My certificate was rejected. What now?
The usual causes, in order of how often we see them:
- The photograph is cropped, angled or too dark to read the number.
- The name on the certificate differs from the name on the account — a maiden name, an initial, or a spelling difference is enough.
- The registration number was typed with the council prefix included, or with spaces or slashes that are not on the certificate.
- That registration number is already attached to another Cutiscan account.
Re-upload a flat, well-lit photograph of the whole certificate. If it fails again, email support and we will look at it by hand.
Do I need a registered clinic?
No. Your registration opens the account, not the premises. Without a clinic, reports carry your own name and registration instead of a clinic masthead. You can add clinic details later from Settings and reports will pick them up from the next one onward.
Using it in a consultation
Capture, reports and the illustrator.
The camera will not start
In the app: check Cutiscan has camera permission in your phone's settings. If you refused the prompt the first time, the app cannot ask again — you have to grant it there.
In a browser: the camera needs a secure connection. It works on cutiscan.com and on localhost, but browsers block it on a plain local network address. If the camera is unavailable, upload a photograph instead and place the three landmarks by hand — the report is identical either way.
Report generation failed partway
Nothing is lost. The patient record and your notes are saved before the document is rendered, so you can retry from Reports without re-entering anything.
If it fails twice, it is usually the photograph — very large images from a DSLR, or a file that is not actually a JPEG despite its name. Retake on the phone and try again, then email support if it persists.
The markers are in the wrong place on the face
Every marker is positioned by scaling from three landmarks — both pupils and the bottom of the chin — so an error in one moves all of them.
The usual culprit is the chin. On a bearded patient it is easy to tap the bottom of the beard rather than the bottom of the chin bone, which stretches the vertical scale and pushes forehead markers into the hair. Tap where the bone actually ends, which is noticeably higher. Use Undo to move the last point.
Why can't the illustrator show a predicted result?
Because it would be unlawful here. The Drugs and Magic Remedies (Objectionable Advertisements) Act does not permit predicted-outcome imagery for treatments of this kind, and a patient shown a generated face believes it.
The illustrator is a manual demonstration tool. You set the point and the volume; it shows how a depression softens. Every frame is permanently watermarked as an illustration, and the export path cannot bypass that.
Why are treatments missing from a report?
Reports only suggest procedures your clinic has listed. If something you offer is not appearing, add it in Settings → Edit procedures offered; it will show on the next report. This is deliberate — a report should not send your patient somewhere else.
Billing
One plan, ₹2,999 a month per clinic.
Is there a free trial?
No. Cutiscan is paid from the first report. You can cancel whenever you like and keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for.
How do I cancel?
Subscribed on the web: Settings → Subscription and billing → Cancel subscription.
Subscribed on iPhone: cancel in your Apple account — Settings → your name → Subscriptions. We cannot cancel an Apple subscription for you.
Subscribed on Android: cancel in Google Play → Payments and subscriptions.
Access continues to the end of the paid period. Your records stay intact and come back if you resubscribe.
A payment failed and I am mid-clinic
A failed renewal does not lock you out immediately. There is a short grace period so a declined card cannot strand you with a patient in the chair. Update the payment method from Settings when you have a moment.
Why is the price the same on the App Store?
Because a price that changes depending on where you tap is a worse experience than a slightly larger fee. Apple and Google take a share of in-app purchases; we absorb that rather than charging iPhone users more.
Patient data
What is stored, and how to remove it.
A patient wants their record deleted
Delete it from the patient's record in the app and the photographs, report and analysis go with it. If you need this confirmed in writing for the patient, email privacy@cutiscan.com from the address on your account.
The clinic is the data controller for its patient records; we process them on your behalf. Requests from patients should come to you, not to us.
Are patient photographs used to train AI?
No. They are stored so you can retrieve the report later, and for nothing else.
Live camera frames used for pose guidance are processed on the device and never transmitted — only the still you choose to keep is sent.
I shared a report QR code and want to withdraw it
Each report link expires 30 days after it is issued, matching the report's stated validity, and can be revoked earlier from the report's entry in Reports.
Treat a printed QR code the way you would treat the printed report. Anyone holding the page can open it — that is what makes it work without a login.
Deleting my whole account
Settings → Delete account. This removes the clinic profile, every patient record, every photograph and every generated report, and deletes the sign-in itself. It cannot be undone.
Download anything you need to keep from Reports first.
